Over the past two years, our students have been lucky enough to work with Darren O’Donohue, a talented poet, playwright, and drama expert based in Kilkenny.
Darren’s workshops have given students a unique opportunity to explore poetry and performance in an engaging and supportive environment. His sessions focused on creative expression through character, dialogue, and dramatic structure, helping students build confidence in both writing and performance.
A former recipient of the Bread & Roses Playwriting Award and the Dennis O’Driscoll Literary Award, Darren’s work has been performed in Ireland and internationally. His poetry collection Secret Poets was published in 2022, and his writing continues to inspire young creatives across the country.
