Exciting Developments in STEM Learning This Year!
This year saw incredible progress in the area of STEM learning across our school, with students fully engaging in a wide range of hands-on, fun, and educational activities. From Bee-Bots to Lego engineering, coding challenges to STEM challenge boxes, our classrooms have been buzzing with innovation!
Pupils developed essential skills such as problem-solving, creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork, all while having a great time. Younger children loved using Bee-Bots to explore basic programming, while older students tackled more complex tasks through coding platforms and Lego engineering projects. Our STEM challenge boxes sparked curiosity and encouraged collaborative experimentation in a fun and interactive way.
These activities not only enhanced our STEM skills, but they also sparked a genuine excitement for science, technology, engineering, and maths across all age groups. The smiles, the teamwork, and the sense of achievement were clear to see in every classroom.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and look forward to building on this momentum in the coming school year!
A heartfelt thank you to Mark Delahunty of Del Edtech Solutions and St. Mary’s National School, Thomastown for this invaluable training and support in helping us establish our new STEM learning strategy within the school.
