Our Green Schools Committee organised a fantastic Green Day on Monday, 8th of June. Families made a brilliant effort with our "No Single-Use Packaging" idea and we were delighted to see so many waste-free lunchboxes on the day.
On the day, the children worked together on a whole-school clean-up, which included litter picking and weeding around the school. The place looks great! The Green Schools Committee visited each classroom to share ideas and practical ways that we can all help to take care of our planet and protect the environment. Prizes were awarded to the winners of our "Our Power, Our Planet" poster competition. Well done to all on their fantastic entries! We planted flowers and classes took part in a Biodiversity Hunt to spot different plants and creatures around our school.
Green Day was a great success and a wonderful opportunity for our school community to work together to make a positive difference.
