As part of our Creative Clusters initiative, our students had the fantastic opportunity to work with visual artist Paul Bokslag over a period of four weeks in 2024. This engaging and hands-on project focused on enhancing our skills in printmaking, while also encouraging creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression.
Paul introduced students to a range of printmaking techniques — and one of the most enjoyable elements was using Lego blocks as printing tools! This playful and imaginative approach made the process both accessible and fun, allowing students to explore shape, pattern, and repetition in a creative way.
Working alongside a professional artist gave our students a unique insight into the creative process and helped build their confidence in using new materials. The final prints are a vibrant display of imagination and skill — and we are so proud of the work produced.
