A brilliant Term 1 in Rang a hAon Scoil Chiaráin Naofa. We were busy with lots of different lessons during the term such as maths stations, playing board games, ag caint as gaeilge, ag súgradh cluichí and lots of english reading and writing.
There was great excitement during Science Week where the boys and girls completed lots of different experiments - making lava lamps, Beebots, magnet race courses and a visit from Junior Einstein where the children created Vortex’s.
We got to go to the community hall for Gymnastics where we learnt different body movements. In our drama lesson we got to create imaginary scenes like ‘being on a bear hunt’, ‘getting lost on a desert island’ and most recently ‘working as elves in Santa’s workshop’.
The children participated in the School Christmas Show where they put on the show ‘A Little Bird Told Me’ which told the story of the nativity. It was a FANTASTIC night and a huge congratulations to all the children for such great singing, dancing and acting.
We finished out the year and Term 1 having great fun creating our colourful Dancing Penguins.
