Sixth Class Dublin Trip
19th Dec 2025
Our day began early and the bus made good time up the M9, M7 and through the Dublin traffic.
Our sixth class students received a tour of Leinster House that was both informative and enjoyable. We also met our local T.D., Mr. Peter Cleere and the current Cathaoirleach of the Seanad; Mr. Mark Daly.
A short walk brought us to a world of artifacts and treasures from our past including the Ardagh Chalice in the National Museum of Ireland on Kildare Street.
After a pleasent lunch, everyone was back on the bus once more as we went to Kilmainham.
The Irish Museum of Modern Art was our next quick stop before our tour of Kilmainham Gaol brought us back in time once again to rebellions from 1798, 1803 and 1916. Our excellent tour guide introduced us to many stories from our past and building itself offered unique insights to us all.
Sixth class enjoyed stopping in McDonalds in Kilcullen on the way home
We would like to thank all those who made such a great trip possible.
