Term 1 in Rang a 2 agus Rang a 3!
9th Jan 2026
Rang a 2 agus Rang a 3 have had a wonderful and busy start to the school year.
In September, we had an exciting visit from Heritage in Schools. Sarah shared fascinating stories about Irish myths and legends, and the children loved acting out some of the tales. Later in the month, 3rd class enjoyed taking part in a Kilkenny GAA blitz at Mullinavat, where everyone had a fantastic time playing and cheering on our teams.
October was full of fun activities for Maths Week. We went on a Maths Trail around the school and explored patterns & 3D shapes. We also had a great time learning about Halloween, dressing up in costumes, and playing some traditional games! It was a great day for all!
In November, Science Week was action-packed! We made predictions, conducted experiments, and observed interesting results. We also enjoyed a special visit from Junior Einstein, who taught us all about bridges and helped us build our own.
December was a joyful and festive month. We took part in the Kings River Christmas party and prepared for Christmas with lots of fun activities. Our Christmas Concert was a special highlight, and we loved seeing all the children perform.
A special mention and congratulations to those who received Gaeilgeoir na Míosa and Student of the Month Awards this term.
Well done to all on a fantastic first term!
